Elaine Beth Flynn was born on September 24, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Terry and Patricia Odum. After moving around due to her father's military status, she made a home in Garland, Texas. She graduated from North Garland High School in 1977. At an early age, Elaine accepted Christ and as a believer lived her life in his light. In 1985, she married the love of her life Kevin Flynn, and they had their precious daughter Kayleen. Kayleen became Elaine's whole world, and she spent her life dedicated to her. Through Kayleen, Elaine was able to fulfill her true passion, caring for and helping any child that came across her path. This showed, when she chose her profession as a special education aide and attendance clerk at Rowlett High School. Elaine enjoyed dancing, music (Journey & Styx come to mind), and living her best life. She had a goofy sense of humor and her fun loving spirit lit up any room she walked in. We will miss this about her and the immense love she always showed to everyone around her. Elaine never met a stranger, and would give you the shirt off her back. Elaine was called home, June 20, 2022 surrounded by the people that loved her most. Preceding her in death were her parents. Left to mourn her passing, yet celebrate her life is her daughter Kayleen, her best friend and ex husband Kevin, her grandson Rory, her sisters Peggy and Terri and her brother Kenny, along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and "children" she adopted throughout the years.
