Consuelo (Connie) Nuñez, age 93, passed away on April 23, 2022, in Plano, Texas. She was born on May 21, 1928, in Fort Stockton, Texas to Arturo R. Garcia and Fabiana Salazar Garcia and was raised in Fort Stockton, Texas. She met and married Johnny Nuñez in Fort Stockton, Texas and the couple had six children. Johnny and Connie raised their family in Anton and Cotton Center, Texas. She was a devout Catholic and spent many years as a Guadalupana and participated in several other ministries throughout her life. Connie was a devoted daughter, wife, and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. After her husband Johnny passed away, she dedicated several years of her life caring for her mother-in-law, Celerina Nuñez and her parents, Fabiana and Arturo Garcia until they passed. Connie then moved to Rowlett, Texas to spend the remaining years of her life loving and caring for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren that lived near her. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, mother, sister, and friend, that was always there taking care of all her family and friends. She is preceded in death by husband, Johnny Nuñez, Sr.; son, Johnny Nuñez Jr; mother, Fabiana Garcia; father, Arturo R. Garcia; sister, Nora Perez; sister, Ribba Lopez; sister, Dale Munoz; and brother, Ismael Garcia; and daughter-in-law, Tina Nuñez. Survived by: daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Willie Sosa; daughter, Lydia Nuñez; son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Nancy Nuñez; son, Rudy Nuñez; son and daughter-in-law, Albert and Angela Nuñez; sister, Delores Edmonds; sister, Patsy Garcia; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Fred Morales; brother and sister-in-law, Arturo and Lupe Garcia; and brother and sister-in- law, Armando and Dottie Garcia; grandchildren, Bill Sosa, Bonnie Rangel, Amy Perez, James Sosa, Mark Sosa, Joshua Sosa, Connie Davies, Brandy Gross, Destiny McCurdy, William Lee, Farrin Nuñez, Tanna Nuñez, Noah Nuñez, Trisha Brock, John Nuñez, David Nuñez, Brittany Redford, Brianna Johnson, Jarett Nuñez, Felicia Nuñez, Nathan Nuñez, Nicholas Nuñez, Anthony Nuñez, Marcus Nuñez, Veronica Nuñez, and she was also blessed with great- grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
