Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Sondra "Sandy" Gilmore, passed away on September 2, 2021 at the age of 79. Sandy was born to Denzil and Kate Young of Burnet, Texas on May 17, 1942. She married her high school sweetheart, Glen, in a backyard wedding. Together, they had: three children, Angie (James), Glen (Becky), and Greg (Misty); eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Sandy loved taking care of others and enjoyed her profession as a nurse. She was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. A funeral service is scheduled for 10AM on September 10, 2021, at the Mesquite Church of Christ, 400 W Davis St, Mesquite. An interment will follow at 5PM in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Lake Victor, Texas.
