Sebastian "Bookie" Arteche Macabare May 28, 1971 - July 30, 2021 Garland, Texas Sebastian known to his family and friends as Bookie was born on May 28, 1971 in Tacloban City, Leyte, Philippines. He graduated from John F. Kennedy High School at Tamuning, Guam in 1990. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the US Army. He served our country for 15 years and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant. He was a loving and caring son, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed spending time with his family, gaming, reading, and eating healthy. He devoted his time helping take care of his nieces and nephews since birth through their pre-teen years. He also assisted his parents, aunts, uncles, and cousins with all their needs as he was skilled in so many things. The entire family looked to him for guidance and solutions. He was simply the best at jack of all trades. Sebastian is survived by his parents, Arturo and Kathy; his brother and his wife, Artie and Janice; his sister and her husband, Kayleen and Nikki; his 5 nephews and nieces, Joaquin, Tristan, Tre, Amanda, and Kameah. He is deeply missed by his extended family, his friends, and all who knew him. A mass will be held in his honor at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Saturday, Aug 7, 2021 at 12pm.
