Agueda Perez Gumawid, also known as "Diday," was born on February 5, 1932, and returned to the Lord on April 3, 2021. She was born to parents Damaso Perez and Gregoria Dela Cruz in Estanza, Lingayen, Pangasinan, Philippines. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Felipe "Peping" Gumawid Sr. Diday is survived by her children: Lyn & Del, Elvie & Conrad, Dang & Bebot, Boy & Malou, Jhun & Ruby, Imee, Gigi & Ferdie, and Marie & Arnel. She has twenty-four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, who call her Lola Diday. Together, Peping and Diday raised their children, who all finished their college degrees. Despite being a homemaker and facing financial limitations and adversities, Diday exemplified virtues of forbearance and resourcefulness. She was dedicated and proud of her children's achievements and patient even with their shortcomings. She encouraged her children to continue and pursue their dreams even if it was far from home. She was a devoted Catholic who continued to keep her faith and trusted in our Lord all her life. We are saddened by her loss but grateful that she's united with her husband, other beloved departed family members, and our Lord in Heaven.
