Linda Louise Congdon

Linda Louise Congdon, 73, passed away due to Covid-19 complications on February 9, 2021. She was born October 6, 1947 in Wareham, Massachusetts. She met the love of her life, Donald W. Congdon while he was serving at the Otis Airforce Base in Cape Code. They married in 1966 and moved to Uvalde, Texas. The family moved to East Dallas and settled in Garland, Texas. Linda was down to earth and never met a stranger. She was always willing to help anyone. Don and Linda loved to travel. She loved her arts and crafts and painting gifts for loved ones. Most of all she loved her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren. Linda was a great mom and best Meme ever. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought happiness and purpose to her life. Linda was proceeded in death by her husband of 54 years, Donald only by 17 days, and her father and mother, Arnold "Red" and Ester Allen and brother Arnold Allen, Jr. She is survived by her son Donald W. Congdon, Jr. and his wife Beverly Congdon of Mesquite, Texas, grandchildren Dean Congdon and Austin Congdon; son Michael S. Congdon and his wife Tona Congdon of Quinlan, Texas, grandchildren proceeded in death Sydney Congdon, Rebecca Morrison and her husband T. Roy and their daughter Kairi, and Rachael Harp and her husband Austin and their children Evelynn and Elijah; daughter Michelle Paulos of Garland, Texas and grandchild proceeded in death Stephanie Paulos; daughter Stacey Graham of Mesquite, Texas; grandchildren Brandon Congdon and his wife Beverly and their daughters Grace and Elizabeth; and Jessica Brunson and her husband Rylie and their children Ellia and Logan. She is survived by her sisters Deborah Mello of Mashpee, Massachusetts, Lorie O'Brien of Falmouth, Massachusetts, Rosanne Allen-Butler and her husband Bill of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Roxanne Allen of Falmouth, Massachusetts, and brother Keith Allen of Falmouth, Massachusetts. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and close family friends that also call her their bonus mom or meme. A memorial gathering will be scheduled for a later date.
