Dorothy Mae McCullough

Dorothy Mae McCullough was born April 29, 1931 to Elijah Marshall Dickens and Myrtle Lee Samples Dickens during the great depression in Elmo, Texas. They lived there for several years before moving to Terrell, Texas where she went to school. Later she moved to Dallas, Texas and married and had four awesome children, after her divorce, she was a single mother who raised her children, and she was the best mom who loved her family so much. Dorothy was survived by her sister Linda Blair (Andy), sister in law Mary Dickens, son Tony McCullough, son Terry McCullough, daughter Julianne Robbins- Holcomb (Aaron), grandson Shawn McCullough (Heidi), and granddaughters Tiffany Robbins (Julius), and Hayley Holcomb (Dusty) and many nieces and nephews she loved and cherished. She always put everyone she loved before herself and always wanted to give more to others. She was the best daughter, sister, mother, Granny, and friend anyone could ever ask for. She worked hard to provide for her family. She spent many years working at Frito Lay in research and development and made many friends along the way, before her retirement in 1992. She loved to sew, she was an awesome artist who could draw and sketch beautifully, an avid crossword puzzle worker and solver. She loved her movies and her TV programs. She also made the best desserts but, most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Especially, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She entered into rest on November 25, 2020. She was proceeded in death by her parents Elijah and Myrtle Dickens, daughter Alana Ann McCullough, sisters Rosie McCullough and Sheila Fortune, brothers Douglas, Raylane and Paul Dickens, brother in law Alfred McCullough, son in law Joe Robbins, and granddaughter Tara Renee Robbins. We will all miss everything about her, but she will always live on in our hearts
