Rayno Regalado

Rayno Regalado, 81, of Garland, Texas, passed away October 10, 2020. Rayno was born on July 19, l939 to parents Pedro and Audelia Regalado in Bardwell, Texas. He picked cotton as a child, along with his family, who lived on a farm. When his father became ill, his mother asked him to quit school to help the family. He worked to help support the family. He later worked at Consolidated Handbags, and worked his way up to supervisor for their retail division, distribution and sales. Later, Rayno went to barber school and became a barber. He owned and operated a barber shop in Garland, Texas from 1967 to 2018 (50 years and 8 months). He loved his customers, and had many faithful customers through the years. He retired in 2018. Rayno was a true man of God, always faithful. He witnessed to his family, friends, and acquaintances; ever ready to pray with them and to share the word of God. He has been a member of Praise Temple Church in Garland, Texas for 34 years. He was a director. He served as an usher. He loved to travel, and for leisure he loved to fish. Rayno loved gardening; his landscaping was the best. Not only did he have beautiful flowers and plants at his home, but he also did landscaping at his beloved church. He also planted a vegetable garden every year. His family and friends always benefitted from the delicious tomatoes, peppers, and other veggies that he shared. Rayno is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gloria. His son Tommy, his daughters, Vivian Pina and Jeanette Garza. His brothers, David and Reuben Regalado. His sisters Lorene Velez, Helen Sanchez, and Carmen Regalado. His Grandchildren, Amanda and Adam Regalado, Gilbert Martinez, Celeste Salinas, Jesse, Jalyssa, Isaac, and William Rodriguez. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Rudy, Roy, Isaac, and Abel Regalado.
