We are deeply saddened to share that Ines Edith Alcayaga Varas has passed away. Ines Edith Alcayaga Varas died on April 13, 2020. Ines was born in Andacollo, Chile, Daughter of Horacio Alcayaga and Lidia Rosa Varas. Her passion and hobby was doing diverse hand crafts, and also gambling. Ines and her Husband Alejandro, were married on December 22, 1965 in Chile, South America. In 1985, she immigrated to Dallas, with her youngest son and daughter, to reunite with her husband who resides in Texas. Ines became a Spanish Instructor and continued working until she became ill in 2017. Ines was loyal to her family. She was a loving daughter, supportive sibling, dedicated wife and mother who was always there for those she loved. Her siblings remember her for always being there for each of them. Ines is survived by her 5 children's, her son Marcelo Cerda and and 4 daughters: Ivannia Mauldin, Astrid Cortez, Maria Angelica Cortez and Susana Cortez, six grandchildren, Gonzalo, Felipe, Gabriela, Mario, Camila and Loreto and her Brother Ricardo Alcayaga.
