Johnnie Lee Green

Johnnie Lee Green, 65 years young, of Rockwall, Texas passed away on February 22, 2020 due to an unforeseen accident at his home. John was born on December 16, 1954 in Phoenix, AZ to Johnnie Frank and Della Laverle (Kirksey) Green. He grew up in Eustace, TX and graduated from Eustace High School. John was a loving and caring father to his only son, John Evan Green. They had many things in common such as their love of sports and cooking on the smoker. As of recent, John and Evan spent many weekends together probably disagreeing in fun on who was the best and the worst in the leagues and how long to smoke that brisket. John was loved by so many, he never met a stranger and made many a friend easily. It had to be his infectious one of a kind smile. Preceding John in death is his parents, Johnnie Frank and Della LaVerle (Kirksey) Green and sister, Deborah Lynne Green. Those left to cherish John's memory is his son John Evan Green of Mesquite, brothers Jack Green and Rick Green and many extended family members and a host of friends that will forever miss him dearly. We can't forget his two dogs, Maggie and Lola who showered him with unconditional love. John Lee as he was called by his Mother and sister Deb, worked as an electrician for many years. John retired from being a journeyman electrician for many years and was currently working in landscaping with his brother Jack. He was a dedicated worker his entire life.
