Patricia Sue (Wilson) Spradley

Patricia Sue Wilson Spradley, age 68, of Garland, Texas passed away on February 18, 2020 after a long battle with health issues. She was born on April 3, 1951 in Evansville, Indiana to Homer and Mary Helen (Slaton) Wilson. Pat moved to Garland, Texas with her family when she was in the third grade. She graduated from Garland High School in 1969. After graduation, she spent many years working as an underwriter with insurance companies. After the death of her daughter, Pat took on the responsibility of raising her grandson and changed the focus of her career. She spent the last nineteen years working for non-profit organizations. Pat last worked at the Stewpot in Dallas, Texas where she published a monthly newspaper for the homeless to sell. Pat was an avid genealogist and spent countless hours researching her family history and assisting others in their family research. She was extremely intelligent and loved working with computers. She was compassionate, desired to help others and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a long time and active member of First Christian Church Garland. Pat was preceded in death by her parents Homer and Mary Helen (Slaton) Wilson, daughter Regina Ann Estes and sister, Sandy Wilson Terry. Pat is survived by her son, Doug Spradley and wife Wendy of Kaufman, Texas; sister Delores Smith and husband Bill of Garland, Texas; sister Linda Wilson of Flower Mound, Texas; brother Steve Wilson; grandson, Clayton Dudley and girlfriend Golden Chouffet of Garland, Texas; grandson Colton Estes of Denton, Texas; grandson, Sam Spradley of Kaufman, Texas; granddaughter, Olivia Spradley of Kaufman, Texas; great-grandson Liam Dudley of Garland, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.
