On Friday, February 14, 2020, Emily Yasmine Zermeno, a loving daughter, sister, and friend, entered into rest at the age 11. Emma was born on August 28, 2008 in Garland, Texas to Rodrigo and Silvia Zermeno. She was a 6th grader at Bussey Middle School. Emma was a proud participant in the GISD Special Olympics and was also an extremely proud medalist winner in Track and Basketball. Emma was a TSC (Tuberous Sclerosis Complex) fighter, she was diagnosed at birth and fought until the very end. Emma's biggest love and best friend was her dog Jerry. She loved to make slime, play dress up, and sing and dance to music videos. Her favorite color was pink and she loved anything girly and sparkly. She was a huge Frozen fan and loved to wear her frozen dress anywhere she went. She was a beautiful and pure soul with the kindest heart and most infectious smile. Emma is survived by father Rodrigo, mother Silvia, her older sister Lesly, her two brothers Michael and Nathan, and her best friend Jerry. Emma will be deeply missed by her loving family, her best friend Jerry, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved her. There will be a visitation from 6-8:00 pm at Eastgate Funeral Home 1910 Eastgate Drive Garland, Texas 75041 on Monday February 17, 2020. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday February 18, 2020 at 12:00 noon at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church 1304 Main Street Garland, Texas 75040. Emma will be buried at Big Springs Cemetery 6538 North Jupiter Road Garland, Texas 75044.
