Walter Howell Johnson Born: September 7, 1915 Death: February 19, 2015 Place of Death: At Home Occupation: Butcher Hobbies: Working in the yard, garden, the house and just love being outside. Most of all he loved to go fishing. Walter H. Johnson, age 99, of Garland, Texas passed away on Thursday February, 19, 2015 with his daughter Brenda and grandson Whitley by his side. He is survived by Daughter, Brenda Johnson, grandson, Whitley H. Johnson, and great-grandson, Andrew B. Salazar Johnson. Other surviving family members include Doris and Buddy Cave, Joyce Myers, Maggie Drain, Sibbie Flatt, Roy Paul Capps, Patricia Thomas, Pat Haney, sister-in-law Norma (Aunt BeBe) Johnson and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife of 78 years, Gertrude A. Johnson and parents John P Johnson & Emma W Gerron Johnson; brother Kenneth Johnson & sister Maude Stanley. Walter had so many people who loved him that were also considered family; Margie, Ron, Sarah and Aaron Manns, Patricia Langley and all her loving family and dear friend, Karen Brown. He had wonderful neighbors Fransico and Rosie, Gerry and Roy and Donna. They were so caring and watched for him for so many years. He loved to fish and do anything if it was being outdoors, he loved his family dearly. Walter will be missed more than words can ever express. Funeral services will be held at Eastgate Funeral Home, 12:00 Noon, Monday, February 23, 2015.
