Virginia Fernande Jeannet-Crawford

Virginia was also known as Ginger by her loved ones. No matter where she went, if it was the grocery store or out to dinner, she was going to be dressed to the nines. I remember as a child, before my father Carl came home from work, she would go make sure she was fixed up and pretty with dinner on the table and greeted him with a kiss. Mom was a great cook and seamstress and taught her daughter Cathy to sew when she was 14 years old. She loved having fun and playing practical jokes. She always expressed genuine deep concern and love for family and friends. When there was a get together with family or friends there would always be laughter and if you didn't laugh she would say "You're no fun" then laugh herself. She was a very loving and caring mother always having breakfast on the table getting us ready for school and making sure we got home safely. Saturday was clean house day for all of us. She kept our home organized and clean and was a loving wife. Even though she and Carl divorced after 30 years they remained good friends through the years and still had a special place in each other's hearts. She worked as a saleslady at Sanger Harris in Big Town Mall, then as a cashier and hostess for El Fenix at the Galleria, then as my receptionist at my salon Finesse in Mesquite and finally a saleslady at Dillard's in Town East Mall. Her last residence was at Eastpoint Station in Garland where she had many friends and enjoyed their company and companionship. Virginia is survived by her stepsister Wanda Carter, her daughters Sharon Coleman and Cathy Watkins, her grandchildren Steven Waller, Brandon Johnson, Kelly Hosick, Michael Coleman and Crystal Hicks, her great-grandchildren Ashleigh Scarfone, Steven Waller Jr., Tatians, Daisha and Jamez and great-great-granddaughter Olivia Scarfone. When you're lost, I'll be sure to find you. When you're scared, I'll be sure to calm your fears. When all hope is lost, I will give you something to hope for. Know that I love you, Know that I care, Know that you are in God's hands, for He is always there. Ashleigh S. & Cathy W. There will be a Memorial Service at 2:00 pm on Sunday November 17, 2019 at the Eastpointe Station 2750 Broadway Blvd. Garland, Texas 75041.
