Mary Christina Keahey, 65, of Greenville, Texas, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, October 24, 2019. She was born on June 10, 1954 in Dallas, Texas, to her parents, Luther Leon Grubbs and Juanita Christina Davis Grubbs. The family will receive friends at a visitation to take place on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Eastgate Funeral Home in Garland, Texas from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mary attended South Garland High School. Some time later, she attended nursing school, earning an Associates degree. She worked as a nurse's assistant for many years. Mary also worked as an office manager for a doctor's office for some time. Her true gifts were utilized when she served as a caregiver for several of her family members. It was a blessing to her and her family that she was able to serve them in that way. Mary was a devoted wife to her husband, Eddie, who she married on October 24, 1992. She was a devoted wife, adored by her entire family. Mary's favorite thing to do in her free time was be with her grandchildren. They provided her with many hours of love and enjoyment. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Eddie, her daughters, Michelle Hundley and husband, Brian, and Melissa McGill; grandchildren, Lindsey, Paris, Madison, Alex and Ashton; a great granddaughter, Zyla; siblings, Wanda Marks and husband, Jack; Elizabeth Smith and husband, Philip, Kay Roberts and husband, Ronnie, Paula Ryan and Paul Grubbs and wife, Debbie; niece, Lisa Keahey, along with many other nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Juanita Grubbs, and brothers Arson Leon Grubbs and Edward Grubbs. Being named as an Honorary Bearer is Heidi, to whom Mary was like a second mom to. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to honor Mary's memory to Vitas Hospice, 2716 Lee Street, Greenville, 75401.
