Gloria Eilene Little

In Loving Memory of Gloria Eileen Little
July 16, 1932 – May 29, 2026

On May 29, 2026, Gloria Eileen Little, age 93, went to meet
Jesus.
Gloria was born on July 16, 1932, in Celeste, Texas. Gloria was
raised in the church and graduated from Garland High School at 16.
After high school, she attended business school and subsequently went
to work for Lone Star Gas
. In July 1953, Gloria was introduced to Elmer Little by a mutual
friend, Jimmy Ballou. Four months later, in November 1953, Gloria and
Elmer were married by Mac LeFan.
Gloria devoted her life first to God, then to her family. Alongside
Elmer, Gloria served churches in Oklahoma, Texas, Iowa, Missouri and
Kentucky, teaching children’s classes and Ladies’ Bible classes. During
their 48-year marriage, Gloria and Elmer also raised 5 children: Suzan,
Mark, Leanne, and twins Kathi and Jeff. After Elmer passed away in
2001, Gloria moved back to Garland, Texas, to be closer to her
daughters Suzan and Leanne. For the past 25 years, she has attended
Saturn Road church, where she volunteered in the children’s ministry
and the sewing ministry.
Gloria possessed a kind, gentle spirit, a warm smile, and a
servant’s heart. She made everyone she encountered feel welcomed,
valued, and loved.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents Carlton and Clyde
Gregory; her brother Sonny; her husband Elmer; her sons-in-law Ted
Studebaker and David Bishop; her daughter-in-law Leslie Little; her
granddaughter Jennifer Norris; and her great-granddaughter Breckyn
Peck. She leaves behind her loving children— Suzan Mills; Mark Little;
David and Leanne Stump; Rick and Kathi Norris; and Jeff and Julie
Little—as well as 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, who
brought endless joy to her heart.
Though we grieve her presence here, we do not grieve as those
who have no hope. We know she is with the Lord and with so many
who’ve gone before. We look forward to the day we will meet her again.
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since
what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians
4:18
