Volney Jacardo Bridges born June 30, 1951.  He was born in Paris, TX to the parents of Eugene and Pauline Bridges.

He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife Vivian (Irene) of 45 years, son Michael and daughter Tanya (Matt), two grand daughters Tiana and Lori.  Volney is survived by siblings Veronica (Kelso) Rucker, Sarita Bridges, Rodney O'neal (Gemma) Bridges, Carolyn (John) Lockett, Scotty (Jan) Bridges.  Preceded in death by his sister Vanda Gail Shannon and brother Bryan Bridges.

Volney received his education in Paris, TX attending Baldwin Elementary and Paris High School.  He also attended Paris Jr. College.  He began his career at Texas Instruments and later Marlow Industries in Dallas. 

The Bridges family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of kindness and concern shown during this time of bereavement.  We realize how truly blessed we are to have such wonderful family and friends during this challenging time.
