Kurian K. Kadappur

Mr. Kurian Varkey Kadappur (Monichan) was born on January 17, 1952, in Arpookara, Kottayam, Kerala. He was the middle child of three children born to late Mr. Chandy Varkey (Chundamannil Kadappur Family) and late Mrs. Mariamma Varkey (Kanjappallil Family). Monichan grew up in Thottakad, Kottayam and moved to Madras (Chennai) in 1971. 
 
Monichan married Mary (Lally) Andrews of Ottaplakal house, Thanangaputhikal family in June 1979 and was blessed with their only child, Jennie (Kuttan). He worked at Dunlop Tyre, Ltd in Madras for many years and later immigrated to the United States in June 1990 with his family and settled in Ft. Worth, Texas. He gained a son in 2002, Sanu Mathew and two beautiful grandchildren, Ian (2004) and Aiden (2007). He was a proud grandfather, wonderful dad and loving husband. 
 
Monichan was called to his Heavenly abode on April 3rd, 2025. He was a simple and gentle person. He was the first in his family to obtain water baptism in 1996 at Metro Church of God. He was known for his smile, mustache and fabulous hair. He was a straight-forward, no nonsense type of person that adored, protected and loved his small family dearly. 
 
Monichan is survived by his wife-Mary (Lally) Kurian, his daughter-Jennie Mathew, his Son-in-Law-Sanu Mathew, his grandchildren-Ian and Aiden Mathew, his older brother-Anthroyose Kadappur & family of Ft. Worth, Texas, younger sister-Ammal Koshy of Kottayam, Kerala & children and wide circle of other family members. 
 
We would like to thank our family and friends for the love and prayers they have showered on us during this difficult time. Our Pappa’s memories will live in our hearts forever.
