It is with a profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son,
brother, and a recent new father, Sergieo Daniel Lopez, on March 13, 2025, at the age of 32.
Memorial services will be held at Meadows Baptist Church in Plano, Texas on March 25, 2025.
Sergieo Daniel Lopez was born to Sammy and Charissa Lopez on December 3, 1992, in San
Angelo, Texas. He was the last blessing of four children. Taken sooner then we wanted, but it is
God’s will, Sergieo will forever remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the
privilege of knowing him. His growing years were full of frequent moves, as the family were
serving in the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed the experience of living in various places to include
Tokyo, Japan, Mary Esther, Florida, Honolulu, Hawaii and different locations in Texas, which he
always considered his home. He touched the lives of everyone he met with his warmth,
kindness, and infectious sense of humor. As the youngest child, he was a constant source of joy
and pride to his family, always ready with a laugh, a listening ear, or a helping hand. His
adventurous spirit, generous heart, and unwavering loyalty to his family made him a cherished
companion to all. He was employed by the Target Corporation, which he had been with since his
high school years and throughout college, starting as snack food clerk. Upon his graduation
from Texas State College in 2018, he entered a technical internship and was currently working as
a software engineer for Target. He found joy in sharing the latest technology with those closest
to him. He loved NFL football, playing games at family gatherings, and Texas BBQ.
Though his life here was tragically cut short, the memories of love, humor, and passion will live
on with us forever. Sergieo had a deep love for family and was absolutely thrilled to be become
a father. Silas was the joy and pride of his life. His legacy will continue to inspire and remind us
of the beauty of a life well-lived, even in the face of unimaginable loss.
Sergieo is survived by his parents, Sammy and Charissa Lopez, older siblings, Justin Lopez, his
wife Tiana, Jessica Arguelles, her husband Kevin Arguelles, and Adrianna Lopez. His nephews
and nieces Jayden, Christian, Caleb, Cameron, Mya, Sophia, Kylan, Karson and soon to be born
niece, Grandparents, Frances Lopez, Felipe Lopez, Ronald Brady and numerous Uncles, Aunts,
and loving cousins.
We are incredibly grateful for the precious time on Earth with Sergieo and his beautiful family,
and although our hearts are shattered, we will forever carry their memory with us until we see
them again.

My heart goes out to the Lopez and Perez families. Words are insufficient to express how deeply sorry and heartbroken I am for this immense loss. Not a day goes by where I don’t think about you all. I pray for your healing and peace. I have been in denial since I found out, and my heart breaks everyday all over again. Sergieo was one of my best friends. Within one week of knowing each other, we knew we had a bond that would never break. We were so similar, it was the easiest friendship I’ve made. From ordering the exact same meals without knowing every time we’d go out to eat, to listening to the exact same music. We enjoyed the same things. He was the best parts about me- literally my better half. Not an ounce of selfishness or negativity in him. The purest heart. I feel like this world didn’t deserve him. It is so difficult to go a day without thinking of him. Desserts aren’t as sweet as they used to be, listening to metal just doesn’t feel right, and working at Target feels pointless. Life seems emptier, despite me only seeing him a few times a year. He had such a big impact in my life and everyone who was blessed enough to meet him. I regret never telling him how much he meant to me, and all the love I hold for him. He was the kindest person I’ve ever met. And he was so funny without even trying, he always knew how to make me laugh. I wish I had more to offer than my words and prayers, especially with how much he added to my life. I will always carry him in my heart. Sending so much love and healing your way.
