Alexander Zivadin Duricic

**Alexander Zivadin Duricic (1953-2024)**

On March 4, 2024, we bid farewell to Alexander Zivadin Duricic, a cherished husband,
father, brother, and grandfather, whose vibrant spirit and laughter imbued every moment
with joy. Born to Zivadin and Hermine Duricic on December 14, 1953, in Berwyn, Illinois,
Alexander—affectionately known as ‘Big Al’ and ‘Pops’—embarked on a journey filled
with love, discovery, and achievement.

Raised in Lyons, Illinois, Al's early life was marked by a keen intelligence and a zest for
life that led him to graduate from Morton West High School in 1972. His professional
journey began at Andrew Corporation, setting the stage for a distinguished 50-year
career in project management. A testament to his commitment to personal growth and
excellence, Al relocated to Plano, Texas, in 1983 and later earned a bachelor’s degree
from Amberton University, further honing his skills and expertise.

Al's retirement in December 2023 marked the culmination of a storied career, but his
passions extended well beyond the professional realm. A gifted artisan, he found solace
and expression in stained glass and woodworking, creating pieces that reflected the
depth of his creativity and the warmth of his spirit. Frank Lloyd Wright and Steampunk
styles were his specialty.

To those who knew Al, his infectious smile and hearty laughter were a constant source
of light and comfort. He possessed the rare ability to make every acquaintance feel like
a lifelong friend, a testament to his genuine, open heart.

Though we mourn his loss deeply, Al's legacy endures through his beloved family: his
wife, Marsha Duricic; brother, Ray Duricic (and wife Jo Ann); children, Lauren Pardue
(and husband Jerad) and Bill Pate; nephew, Joe Duricic; grandchildren, Kane and
Madeline Pardue; and his devoted friends of 50 years, Vic Rubino, Terry Ryan, and Ken
Foresberg.

Alexander Zivadin Duricic's life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and enduring
friendships. As we remember him, let us honor his memory by embracing the joy he

found in every moment, the kindness he showed to all, and the remarkable legacy he
leaves behind.

Condolences
