Eric was born on December 5th, 1956, in Rochelle, Illinois to Dixie Kay Loomis Oellig and Earl Eugene Oellig.  He is proceeded in death by Earl and Dixie and survived by:  Three sisters Juanita Lynn Crail, Salley Jo Altick and Jeannine Oellig.  Three Nieces Jennifer Kummer, Tammy Kummer and Tiffany Kummer.  Three Nephews John Manuel Crail, III, Anthony Altick and Earl Daniel Altick.  Two Great Nieces Layla Lynn Crail and Taylen Rose Crail.  One Great Nephew Jayden John Crail.

Eric cherished life, embraced hard work, found joy in laughter, and always maintained a positive outlook in even the worst of situations.

Prior to his transformation to his heavenly body, Eric was employed by Pope Plumbing Company where he was a faithful and hardworking employee and faithful friend for many years.  Given any task Eric would do his best to accomplish it no matter if it was fixing a sewer line, repairing equipment, fixing a tractor, or doing maintenance on vehicles.

Eric was a man of many talents including carpentry, welding, electrical wiring and just about anything else he saw that needed doing.  He was loving, kind, tender hearted, honest, smart, funny, and loved to laugh.  Eric was a true friend and will be dearly missed by many.
