Emma A. Rubio
Emma A. Rubio was born November 14, 1948 in Slaton TX. She passed away on
December 6, 2023 after a lengthy bout with Pneumonia. Emma was a fighter, she
battled cancer and won. Emma died cancer free. Emma was 75 years old.
Emma is survived by her loving husband of 53 years John Rubio, her three sons
Jose, Isiah, and Sean Rubio and wife Rachel and family, her brother David Ariaz
and wife Angela and family, her brother Duby Ariaz and wife Carla and family, her
brother in law Andes Cano, her niece Angelica Cano, her nephew Angel Cano, four
grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.
Emma was predeceased by her parents Aurelio and Macaria Ariaz, her sister
Cecelia Ariaz Cano, and daughter Am Cherie Rubio.
Emma’s work history was Texas Instruments, Cardiology Associates of Lubbock,
and Citi Financial. Emma retired from Citi Financial due to health reasons.
Emma enjoyed yard gardening, working with her houseplants and cooking.
Services for Emma will be December 28, 2023 at 10:30 AM in Our Lady Of
Guadalupe Church, 630 South 4th. St. Slaton, Texas 79364.
