Karen Sue was born to Frank and Dorothy
Ashmore on January 27th, 1948. At 20 Years
old she married the love of her life James
Don Powell, and they were married August
3rd, 1968. Two years later they welcomed
their first daughter, Lori Kay Powell, who she
is survived by, and then Mary Frances Powell
in August of 1975, who she is accompanied
by in heaven. 

Karen worked hard all of her life.  She was
strong willed and resilient. The Lord saw her
fighting as hard as she could, but he knew
she was ready. He reached his hand out to
Karen on November 13th, 2023, at 2:46 pm
and guided her home. 

“When you pass through the waters, I will be
with you; and through the rivers, they shall
not overwhelm you; when you walk through
fire you shall not be burned, and the flame
shall not consume you. “ - Isaiah 43:2

Karen is survived by her daughter, Lori Kay
Perry, her sister, Fran Edwards, her
grandchildren, Garrett Clark, and Madison
Clark, and two great grandsons.

glory that is to be revealed to us.”  - Romans
