Dale Jan Holmberg of Garland, Texas passed away on November 6, 2023, at the age of 79 years. Dale attended Bryan Adams High School and Abilene Christian University where he earned a Bachelor's Degree. Dale served in the United States Army and completed a tour in Vietnam. Following his service to our country, he joined the Balch Springs Police Department. After a short tour with Balch Springs, Dale joined the Garland Police Department in October 1971. He served the department honorably and in various capacities through November 2000. In addition to his lifelong commitment of service to others, Dale's greatest accomplishments were being an incredible and amazing husband and father. The fruit of Dale's efforts will be tangible for generations to come. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Donna, son Michael Holmberg and his wife Christi, son Joseph Holmberg and his wife Joyce, daughter Kelly Holmberg Guggenbuehl and her husband Steve Guggenbuehl as well as his nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Dale is also survived by his brothers, Ron, Don and Jimmy Holmberg, and his sisters Linnea Lavery, Victoria Richardson, Cheryl Woodall and Sharon Holmberg. He was preceded in death by his mother Bette and father Bevan. Your prayers and condolences are welcome.
