Betty Jo Green Reagan peacefully passed into Heaven Aug. 6, 2023 at the age of 87. She was
a sweet-spirited, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devout
Christian. She and her husband, William “Bill” Crawford Reagan of 57 years loved camping,
traveling, and spending time with their family.
Known as Memaw, Betty treasured her family: children including Connie, Laura and
husband Bob, Tommy and wife Paula, and Keith and wife Lisa; grandchildren including Billy
and wife Leann, Jamie, Christie, and Kathy; and great-grandchildren including Dalton,
Kyleigh, Parker, Juliet, and Kaylee.
She loved being called “mom” or “Miss Betty” by the extended family of children and even
adults who were part of her life through church, work, and softball.
Betty was an active member of Lavon Drive Baptist Church, Eastern Hills Baptist Church,
and First Baptist Church of Sachse where she served in the nursery, Vacation Bible School,
and GA’s. She loved serving the Lord and everyone she encountered. She was also active in
her children’s lives serving as a Blue Birds leader and through the PTA.
While running the M.G. (Jerry) Carter, Sr. Softball Complex Concession Stand with Bill, she
rewarded Umpires, Scorekeepers and City of Garland Parks staff with her recipes like
ReaganAde, Sweet Iced Tea, and Banana Pudding. During National USSSA softball
tournaments, which were hosted at the Carter Softball Complex, players from across the
nation always asked for her Frito Pie and ReaganAde. At home, her vast collection of
cherished recipes will live on and be enjoyed by current and future generations.
Friends and family are invited to attend a viewing Thursday evening, Aug. 10, 2023, from 5-
7 p.m. at Eastgate Funeral Home, 1910 Eastgate Drive, Garland, TX.
A private graveside service will be held in the Colonial Gardens Cemetery in Marshall, Texas.

Lifting the family up in prayers. While I didn’t know Mrs Reagan personally, Connie shared sweet things about her Mom. Connie is compassionate and giving which is a reflection of her Mom!
