Carol Ann McBride Bethel

Carol Ann McBride Bethel of Dallas passed away peacefully on April 11th, 2023 surrounded by her family.

Carol was born on February 17th, 1943 to two adoring parents, Lee and Annie Ruth in

Mobile, AL, was a bundle of joy from the very beginning. Carol graduated from Alabama

State University in 1965 with a degree in Education. While at ASU, she met Raymond

and together they went on to have two children, Raymond Jr. and Kimberly.

After graduating, she went on to pursue a long teaching career in several states, before

planting roots in the Dallas Independent School District from which she retired from A.

Maceo Smith High School in 2008.

Our mother, Carol, was one of the most caring and gifted women to ever walk this earth,

and our family was blessed to have her as the head of the family. Carol was a wonderful

and loving mother who gave her all to her family. Her artistic talents were always on

display with her beautiful oil paintings, silk flower arrangements and ceramic pottery. We

will never be able to fill the space left behind by her.

Carol was predeceased by her father, mother and husband, Raymond Sr.

She is survived by her son, Raymond Jr, his wife Christina and grandchildren Mar and

Jessica.

Daughter, Kimberly Bethel-Kretzschmar, her husband, Matthew and step-grandson,

Logan.

Also her loving younger siblings Marsha, Lee Jr. and Margaret among countless friends,

coworkers and students she touched over the years.
