Carolyn Endel Strayhan, age 85, passed away peacefully on April 5th 2023 due to complications from an infection. She was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on September 8, 1937 to Earl and Marie Endel.
She was an accomplished artist, voracious reader, lover of porcelain figurines, retired paralegal, and extraordinary consumer of cell phone minutes. Her biggest passion was her grandchildren, Zoe, Emma and Logan, whom she even got to live next door to for several years when they were younger.
Kindness, understanding and acceptance were the principles that framed her character and strength of spirit. These values drove her to commit acts of selflessness instinctually and she was admired for her ability to provide emotional shelter no matter what the circumstance.
Carolyn is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Heath and Kristin Strayhan of Dallas, TX and their three children, Zoe, Emma and Logan.

I will miss Carolyn very much. We were very close cousins. I enjoyed talking to her every day and hated the fact that we were so far away in distance from each other.
