Linda Sue Burns

Linda Sue Burns came into the world as Linda Sue Cox on Saturday, March 29, 1947. She went home to be with the Lord Saturday, January 7, 2023.

Linda was born to Clarence and Jennie Cox and was the youngest of 4 children, Inez Everett, JC Cox, and Joe Cox. 

A long term resident and former Ms. Pleasant Grove, Linda also taught kindergarten in Grapevine and lived briefly in Greenville, Mesquite, Lindale, and Waxahachie TX,  before making her home in Bardwell Texas.

In her 75 years of life she loved only one man. 

Elmer Glenn Burns married Linda Sue Cox January 31, 1964. They have one child, their beloved daughter Kim Burns-Perrymore and the center of her world was her only grandson Jonathan Glenn Perrymore.

She is preceded in death by her parents, all of her siblings, her son in law, Curtis Perrymore and her beloved schnauzers Hans, Heidi, Totsi, and Willie. 

She is survived by her beloved husband, Elmer Glenn Burns, her daughter, Kim Burns-Perrymore, her grandson Jonathan Glenn Perrymore, and family friend, Cynthia (Cyndi) Rudd, numerous nieces and nephews, friends, and extended family and not to forget her caregivers/family Gwen Harris and Angie Choate, and the complete health care team, that has been an integral part of our family's life these past years and months.

 

Visitation will be at 9:00 am Friday morning at Red Oak Baptist Church, Red Oak,Tx with funeral services starting at 10:00  and graveside service to immediately follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Seagoville, TX.
