Harley Leon McIlroy born in Morton, Texas November 30, 1934 and passed away December 10, 2022 in Dallas, Texas. Leon was a resident of Garland for more than 50 years and a member of Saturn Road Church of Christ for over 50 years. He is preceded in death by his parents; Harley Samuel and Edna Leona McIlroy; sister, JoAnn McIlroy; and his wife of 48 years, Dorothy Jean McIlroy.

 Leon is survived by his wife, Betty Kate McIlroy; Sons:  Ron McIlroy Kerry McIlroy and wife Tracy, Kevin McIlroy and wife Sharon; Grandchildren; Erin Parker and husband Stephen, Elizabeth Barta and husband Stephen, Brenna Ramlal and husband Kendell, Reese McIlroyDaniel McIlroy; Great Grandchildren; Mack and Macy Parker, Mallory Barta. Bonus Children: Gary and Jill Lankford, Brenda and Frank Torok

 

Leon received his Degree in Business Management from Texas Tech in 1961 and was Honorably discharged from the Army in 1962.

His career spanned over 35 years’ service in the United States of America government, beginning with The Civil Service Commission and capping his career off as Chief of the Dallas Field Office for The Office of Special Council, to the President of the United States." />
