Karl Hilliard was born on December 24, 1946, in Arlington, Virginia, and departed on November 28, 2022, in Rowlett, Texas. He graduated from Bryan Adams High School.  In the years following his graduation from high school, Karl served in the U.S. Navy. He served the state of Texas as a land surveyor. Music and photography were two of Karl's greatest passions.

In love and happiness, Karl and Svetlana have lived together for 22 years. Karl has always been a loyal and devoted husband. He was a wonderful son, brother and uncle. He captured the hearts and minds of all and will be missed. Karl was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Svetlana, step-son Andrew, grand step-son Nicolas and his sister, Mary Morton, brother-in-law, David Morton, nephews Michael, Stephen and Eric Newell and great-neice Makenzie Newell, Aunt Anne Sheehe and a host of cousins.
