Michael Ray Willmon

In loving memory of our father, Michael Ray Willmon, who passed away peacefully with family by his side, on November 13th 2022. 

 
Michael was born in 1951 in Dallas Texas to Thomas and Sammie. He was a loving brother, a loyal friend, and the most caring father. 
 
Michael enjoyed raising farm animals, spending time with his dogs, listening to the blues, watching western movies, fiddling with his guitar and most of all, watching the Texas Longhorns play football. He was a member of the Belmont Group for Alcoholics Anonymous. One of his greatest accomplishments that made his family proud was his sobriety since 2007. 
 
Michael is survived by his children, Alyssha Toronjo, Jessy Willmon (Melinda), Amber Winslow (Nate), and Casey Rachkovski (Anastasia), his brother Jim Willmon (Judith), his granddaughters Monica Rutland, Morgan Rutland and Amelia Winslow, his best friend Cheryl Willmon, and numerous nieces and nephews and loving friends. 
 
He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Willmon, Sr and Sammie Willmon and his siblings, Thomas Willmon, Jr and Deborah Willmon.
 
Memorial service will be on Saturday, November 26th 2022 at 11:00 am at Eastgate Funeral Home in Garland, Texas.
 
Michael was a lover of animals and could always be found taking care of strays, so in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the ASPCA in his memory.
