Pamela Jean Cothard

Pamela Jean Cothard, (nee Mammarelli)

March 25, 1958 – October 27, 2022

Pamela Jean Cothard, was born on March 25, 1958 in Memphis, Tennessee to Nick and Eloise

Mammarelli and passed away in Dallas, Texas on Thursday, October 27, 2022.

Pam was a genuine good soul who never met a stranger and had an unconditional love for all

who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her infectious smile would brighten even the darkest

days.

She had a love of gardening and enjoyed working in her yard. She would rather have dirt under

her fingernails than a manicure. Pam was a gifted photographer and was never without her

camera. She loved sharing her passion and photographed weddings and occasions for her

friends. It was understood you were getting your picture taken whether you wanted it or not.

Pam is preceded in death by her brother, Jerry; grandparents Edgar and Edith Angell, and

Nicholas and Mary Stella Mammarelli.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband and partner, John Cothard; son Dustin “Chris”

Kethley (Heather), grandsons Harrison and Wallace Kethley; step-daughter Stephanie Cothard;

parents Nick and Eloise Mammarelli; brother Mark Mammarelli (Debora); sister Lisa Gray

(Rusty); sister-in-law Debbie Mammarelli; sister-in-law Kathy Laubenthal; brother-in-law Donald

Cotherd; sister-in-law Bethann Roberts; brother-in-law Peter Cothard and a host of aunts,

uncles, in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family extends their thanks and appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff of UT

Southwestern, where she worked, for their superb care and concern.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations

can be made to The American Cancer Society at donate3.cancer.org or to UTSouthwestern at

I worked with Pam for many years in our bariatric clinic at UTSW and she was always so kind, thoughtful and so quick to offer a lending hand. She really was such a bright friendly face and I loved whenever I got the chance to see her in clinic. She will be forever missed but I’m very grateful to have known her. My deepest sympathies to you and your family.

Pam was my administrative assistant since I started at UTSW in 2019. She has always been so warm, welcoming and kind. She was also incredibly good at her job and we all valued her so much. She kept all of us surgeons on track. I loved her Christmas gifts each year with the yummy Chex mix. She was always taking care of other people and she did it with a smile. I’m so sad to not be able to have her in my life anymore but I am ever so grateful for the time that I did.
