Donna Marie Harris, was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma February 8, 1938, daughter of Robert M. & Jewel (Fuller) Harris.  Job relocation brought her & her parents to Dallas at an early age and she has called Dallas her home ever since.  She completed her earthly journey on October 12, 2022, following a short illness.

Donna attended Highland Park High School graduating in 1956 where she served as class secretary and was a member of the National Honor Society.  Many of her classmates have remained in close contact for 50 plus years and have been a great source of support, service, and comfort to Donna. She has been a member of Park Cities Baptist Church since 1946.

Following graduation she attended the University of Texas at Austin and was affiliated with Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She was crowned Miss Dallas in 1956, was Runner Up Miss Texas in the Miss Universe Contest, and won many other pageant titles. She worked for IBM for 25 years, retiring in 1998. She enjoyed playing bridge, her exercise class, traveling, and dressing up for any occasion. She was always interested in the welfare of animals, both domestic and exotic.

Donna is survived by cousins, Julie, Harriet, and Debbie along with many friends too numerous to mention. The family wishes to express gratitude to Donna’s friends from Highland Park High School class of 1956, many who have been neighbors, bridge and traveling partners along with her work, exercise, & bridge friends.  In lieu of flowers Donna has requested donations to the SPCA of Dallas or to In-Sync Exotics, P.O. Box 968, Wylie, Tx, 75098.
