April Smith was born 4/27/77 lived a full and happy life through 10/13/22. Dedicated to family and friends, April gave of herself selflessly. She spent over a decade working in the medical front offices of a few Collin County healthcare providers and changed careers 8 years ago when she started working for Chase bank. April was a business analyst who assisted financially burdened homeowners with their homes.
April is preceded in death by her father Michael Barnwell and her mother Ina Barnwell. She is survived by her sister Amy Beck, brother-in-law Warren Beck, nephew Jacob Upchurch and niece Ava Upchurch of Aubrey, TX as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
April loved being outdoors during fall, cooking and gardening when she wasn't spending time with family and friends. She loved her dog Lala dearly and pampered her as if she was royalty.
April loved music of all genres but particularly country music as well as classic rock and the 80's hair bands. She enjoyed fishing as well as campfires and smores and always tried to sneak in a spooky story to entertain the kids.  She liked to travel, particularly to destinations full of history and / or nature.
April had a contagious laugh and a warm smile to greet you whenever she would see you.
April's time on earth was brief but her impact will last a lifetime. While our hearts are heavy with the loss of a treasured friend and family member, we have a lifetime of good memories to celebrate and share.
