Dale Wilson Mathias, age 59 Birth Date: February 7, 1960 Death Date: August 17, 2019 Dale Mathias, age 59 of Garland, Texas, quietly mounted his bike July 25 to begin his ride home to be with his Lord, reaching his destination on August 17, 2019 holding the hand of his beloved wife Brenda who never left his side. He was born February 7, 1960 in Rochester, New York, and chosen by Barbara and John Mathias to be their son and was adopted at the age of 1 day. He is preceded in death by his father John Mathias, Grandparents John & Gussie Mathias, Leroy and Doris Gates, and Wilson Leroy Gates. Dale is survived by his wife Brenda, only son, Steven Mathias, mother Barbara, Brother John and wife Bonnie, a twin sister Debbie Mathias Gates, and Brenda's family daughter Jullian and husband Jason, and daughter Leah, and 4 grandchildren Austin, Dylan, Jack, and Zoey. Dale quit school at the age of 15 to go to work at the family restaurant after his father's passing. He was blessed with one child Steven in 1993 and finally met his soul mate, Brenda in 2014. They married October 22, 2016 at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Garland, Texas where Dale was a member for 16 years and served as Eucharistic minister. Dale loved riding his motorcycle, working with leather, rebuilding engines, and helping others. Dale was a gardner of souls, helping others find the right path. He was always 'planting seeds' of hope and sharing his experiences in life, giving others the strength to go forward. Dale leaned on a big God who guided his path, he never had a harsh word to say and fought his fight quietly. Dale's voice will continue to be heard saying, "GOD IS GOOD ….. ALL THE TIME" Visitation for Dale Mathias will be on Monday, August 26, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Eastgate Funeral Home in Garland, Texas with Rosary from 7:00 pm to 7:30. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church 950 Trails Pkwy Garland, Texas 75043.
