Obituary – Jewell Alene Morris Wallick Jewell Alene Morris Wallick, age 90, of Garland, Texas, passed away at her home on July 19, 2019. Alene was born to parents Albert and Martha Morris on May 31, 1929 in Dallas, Texas. She was valedictorian at Sunset High School before graduating from Hockaday Junior College. She married the late Richard Miller, and the couple moved to Garland, Texas in 1950. Alene was a Charter Member of Axe Memorial United Methodist Church, and spent her life in loving service to its members. She married Edwin H. Wallick on December 17, 1966 at the church they loved. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Morris, mother Jewell Morris, and brother Don Morris. She is survived by Ed, her loving husband of 52 years, daughter Cheryl Knagg and husband Steve, daughter Lorrie Hall and husband Joe, son Scott Wallick and wife Maureen, daughter Laura Cunningham and husband Bill, and son Keith Wallick and wife Janie. Alene loved and was extremely proud of her eighteen grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She sang in the Axe Choir, and worked as a Sunday school teacher. She also served as the church financial secretary for more than twenty years. Alene shared a lifetime of love with her family, and enjoyed bowling and traveling the world. She also loved her cats! A celebration of her life will be held at Axe Memorial United Methodist Church in Garland at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 27, 2019, with a reception to follow.
