Alton Leroy Reed, 78, of  Garland, TX, died June 27th 2019, at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas. Mr. Reed was born July 27, 1940, in Telephone, Texas, to Palmer and Beulah Reed. He attended Garland High School in Garland, TX. He continued his education at Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, TX. For most of his professional career he was a master electrician and maintenance supervisor for Banktec (formally Recognition Equipment Inc) in Irving, TX. He enjoyed playing golf as often as possible and solving crossword puzzles with his family. He is survived by his sons, Jason and Jesse Reed; older sisters Jody Cook and Laverne Raines, four (but soon to be five) grandchildren, and his wife in common Paula Reed. He was also predeceased by sisters Evelyn Wright and Doris Kyser. He was predeceased by older brothers Wayne, Tommy, and Lonnie Kennedy. Arrangements are with Eastgate Funeral Home of Garland, TX.
