Charles "Red" Richard Rogers

Charles "Red" Richard Rogers of Mesquite, Texas passed into Our Lord's care on March 9, 2019 at the young age of 94. A native Texan, born in Slaton, Texas to Charles Bloodsworth Rogers and Levey Merintha Gore Rogers. He grew up in Fort Worth, Texas where he graduated from R. L. Paschal High School. Following graduation from high school, Red proudly served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific as a pharmacist mate 3rd class in World War II. After his discharge, he attended college at TCU for a couple of years before starting his career. He worked for Graybar Electric Company for 32 years and retired as a Senior Customer Service Representative. He is predeceased by his parents Charles and Levey Rogers, younger brother Joe Tom Rogers of Fort Worth, Texas, deceased, and his wife Constance Shepley Rogers, also deceased. Left to cherish his memory are daughter Constance S. Rogers of Mesquite, Texas, son Richard S. Rogers and wife Holly L. Rogers of Murphy, Texas, granddaughter Heather B. Rogers of Murphy, Texas, nephews Randy Rogers and wife Michelle Rogers of Burleson, Texas, and Mike Sanders and wife Renee Sanders of Pecan Plantation, Texas. Funeral services are pending at this time. Flowers are appreciated, however, donations may be made to www.vnatexas.org in lieu of flowers.
