Jan King, 68 of Mesquite, TX passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2019 in Sunnyvale Tx. She was born December 28, 1950 and was a loving daughter to Richard and Ramona Reeves. She was born in Denton and raised there until moving to Kerrville, Tx where she attended Tivy High School. She married Sidney Robert King Jr. on October 25, 1974. Jan is preceded in death by her father, Richard Reeves. Jan is survived by her husband of 44 years, Sidney Robert King Jr; mother, Ramona Reeves; three siblings, David Reeves, JuLee Reeves and Michael Reeves (Scott); four daughters, Laura (Jack) Dodgen, Donna (Tim) Combs Cyndi (Mark) Poole and Stephanie Andrus; six grandchildren, Jonathan (Megan) Combs, Katherine Dodgen, Cheyenne (Taz) Barnes, Grant Dodgen, Gannon Jacobs and Ryan Jacobs; three great-grandchildren, Alexis Combs, Aubrey Combs and Jace Combs. Jan loved all creatures and was known to take care of many strays along with her own beloved pets over the years. She enjoyed trying different foods as well as binge watching TV shows with her husband. She had a love for traveling to New Orleans to enjoy the Cajun culture and trips to Ouray, Colorado as she was fascinated with snow. She will be deeply missed by many! A Celebration of Jan's Life will be held on March 9, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Eastgate Funeral Home Garland, Texas.
