Rebekke (Bekke) Gillyard Royalty, 61, passed away early Sunday morning, February 17, 2019 after a brief illness while visiting her newborn grandson in Greenville, SC. Bekke is now rejoicing with our daughter, Ashleigh, in heaven. Bekke was born February 28, 1957 and raised in Daytona Beach, FL graduating from Mainland High School. Bekke received Christ into her heart at 9 years old and always ministered to others on behalf of Christ. She attended Georgia Baptist School of Nursing (Mercer) in Atlanta, GA, receiving her Registered Nursing degree. She worked in SICU, labor and delivery, private duty, and administration. Bekke was married 38 years to the love of her life, Jim Royalty. She raised two great children: Ashleigh and Andy. Bekke was also preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Marquita Gillyard, Aunt Martha Williams, her father-in-law Bryce Royalty, sister-in-law Angie Royalty. She leaves behind her husband, Jim, her son, Andy and his wife Christi, four grandchildren: Noah, David, Noella, and Rexford, and her mother-in-law, Nancy Royalty. Funeral service celebrating her life will be at the First Baptist Church of Dallas (firstdallas.org) Truett chapel at 10a on February 28, 2019, and the burial will be the same day at the Restland Cemetery at 12:30p.
