Opal entered this life on the 2nd of October 1925. Opal was born and raised in Gordonville, Texas. She was the daughter of Lee and Pearl Myers, who preceded her in death. Opal's sister, Ruby O'Neill, also preceded her in death and Opal's husband of 51 years, Joe Sullivan went to be with the Lord just over 4 years ago. Opal Myers Sullivan departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior on the 17th of February 2019 at 6:55 pm. Opal is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Samantha and Steve Mummert, twin grandchildren, Michael Joe Mummert and Amanda Suzanee Mummert and 2 great-granddaughters Makynli Jade and Maci Opal. Opal attended Gordonville Elementary School and Whitesboro High School. After graduating as Validictorian of her class, the family moved to Denison, Texas where she acquired a Certificate in Business Training at Droughon's Business College. She worked for several prominent businesses in Denison as an accountant and secretary. On September 14, 1961 Opal was married to Joe Ellis Sullivan of Dallas, Texas formally of Littlefield, Texas. Since then, she has resided in Dallas. The couple was blessed with one daughter Samantha Suzanne. Opal was a member of Casa View Christian Church of Dallas, Texas. There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday March 2, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Eastgate Funeral Home 1910 Eastgate Drive Garland, Texas 75041.
