Born 22 Oct, 1951 at Lackland AF Base, San Antonio, Tx. Left this world to be with the Lord on 18 Dec 2014, with his father and mother at his side. Tom is survived by his parents, Samuel & Hazel C. Carusi of Dallas, brother, Richard S. Carusi, Cottonwood Shores, TX, sisters Cynthia J. Carusi, Orono, Maine and Vicki E. Carusi, Dallas, and a daughter, Melanie J. Carusi, St. Louis, Mo, and numerous cousins. Traveled to Japan and Okinawa and several states as his Air Force career father was assigned. Active in the Boy Scouts on Okinawa. Graduated Sam Houston High in Arlington in 1971. Joined the US Army in May 1972 and served 3 years as a paratrooper/military policeman, 101st Airborne, Fort Bragg, NC. Married Debra Gipson in 1971, and Melanie was born of this marriage. After several years, they divorced. Later Tom married Sharon Hawman and later divorced. Tom worked 19 years as an installer & repairman for AT&T then Verizon. He greatly enjoyed his evening part-time job of 20 years dealing Blackjack and poker for a local Casino company. Tom was a kind and gentle person who loved animals, especially cats, was loyal to his friends and always ready to lend a hand to help those in need. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Service will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, Dec 26 at the Eastgate Funeral Home, 1910 Eastgate Drive, Garland, Pastor Rich Pounds, Central Lutheran Church, officiating.
