Ron Spurlock was born June 3, 1950 in Dallas, Texas and passed away on December 12, 2018 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Lona Spurlock. He is survived by his wife Glenda Dyer Spurlock, his sister Loretta Smith and her husband Charles Smith, his brother Mark Spurlock, his nephews Brian and Scott Smith, his nieces Glenda Dyer Boem and Michelle Dyer and several great nieces and nephews. Ron graduated from South Garland High School in 1969 and from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science School in 1970. He was a charter member of the CenterPoint Church in Mesquite. In 1971 Ron married the love of his life Glenda Dyer. Ronnie and Glenda grew up, graduated from high school, married and lived in Garland. In September 1975 Ron had a dune buggy accident and it changed his life and he became a more dedicated Christian. He would often tell others that he was crazy because he had Dain Bramage. The family requests that memorials be made to the CenterPoint Church Building Fund 1355 East Kearney Drive Mesquite, Texas 75150. His visitation will be Sunday December 16, 2018 from 2-5:00 pm at the Eastgate Funeral Home Chapel 1910 Eastgate Drive Garland, Texas 75041 and his celebration of life will be Monday 11:00 am, December 17, 2018 at the CenterPoint Church 1355 East Kearney Mesquite, Texas 75150. You could always count on Ronnie for a joke, because he loved to make people laugh.
