Barbara Ann Partridge, 82, of Rowlett, Texas was born on 21st November 1936 in London, England to John and Beatrice McGrath. Barbara passed away on 4th December 2018 at The Christian Care Center, Mesquite, Texas. She was a devoted wife to Stanley who passed away on 12th June 2018. They were married for 59 years and had a son, Kevin Anthony, who sadly passed away at the age of 4 in 1967. They lived in and around London, where Barbara worked in a Solicitor's Office. She made many friends at The Alexandra Park Cricket Club where she helped at fundraisers. She was also a keen tennis player. Barbara played golf at the Muswell Hill Golf Club, where she introduced Stanley to the game. She served on the committee and was captain in 1981. Together they won many trophies. Barbara loved travelling and accompanied Stanley on his many business trips to the USA. They both loved the American lifestyle so much they made a new home for themselves in Dallas. They enjoyed many holidays and cruising together. Barbara also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and reading historical novels but golfing was her main passion. Barbara made a great number of friends during her years living in the USA and kept in regular contact with good friends in England too. Barbara will be sadly missed by her friends and family, her nephew Frank, wife Janet and their son, William. Barbara's cremated remains will be returned to London along with Stanley's where a memorial service will be held in early 2019.
