Anna Mon Yoder

Anna Mon Mitchum Yoder Passed away peacefully on November 14, 2018. She was born in Grady County, OK on November 25, 1935. She was known as wife, mother , grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She retired from Sherwin-Williams Paint Co. in 1982 so that she could spend more time with family and grandchildren. She was a Blue Bird and Campfire leader for several years. She loved to travel, work in her yard, playing Rummikube with anyone, and playing cards and dominoes with her friends. But most of all, she cherished time with her family. As a faithful Christian, she sang in the choir, was an AWANA leader, and a prayer warrior. She always had a smile on her face, was very thoughtful, and would do anything to help anyone. She was a beautiful woman, inside and out. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. She was preceded in death by her mom and dad, Curtis and Waunita Mitchum . She is survived by her husband of 66 years, James Yoder, and their children, spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Her daughter Debra Bradley (James), their children Lindsey Shaw (Justin) and their children, Ethan and Norah; Lauren Singer (Daniel) and their daughter, Eliza: Her son, Mark Yoder (Misty) and three children: Beau Yoder (Rachel), Boston Evans (Russell) and their children, Oakley, Briley and Brighton Yoder. She is also survived by her brother, David Mitchum and wife, Janet; nieces Kathy Johnson and Kelley Dillman, and nephews, Bob Mitchum and Randy Willmon. The family would like to thank Medical City Dallas, Dr. Amy Cripps, and the Faith Presbyterian Hospice for their kindness and compassion. Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at First Baptist Garland at 12:00 pm. A reception for all who want to attend will follow. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Garland Friendship House or the American Cancer Society.
