Maria Oralia Renteria "Lala", born on November 2, 1943 in Mission, Texas, passed away at the age of 74 on October 23, 2018 in her home in Garland, Texas. Lala was the daughter of Mateo and Maria Vallejo. Lala was preceded in death by her sisters Teresa "Tere", Dolores "Lola", Maria Luisa and brother Jesús "Jesse". She is survived by her husband Pedro Renteria, daughters Sylvia Pellecer, Mariselda McGough, Gracie Morales, Cynthia Gonzalez and sons Xavier Renteria, Sergio Renteria, Pedro Renteria Jr.;sisters Irma, Dora Nelly, Diana, brothers Juan, Jorge, Israel, Noe; grandchildren, Tad, Andy, Carlos, Sara, Eli, Zach, Jonathan, Timmy, Jesenia, Janelle, Julianne and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Noah and Elaine. Lala had a full life. In particular, she enjoyed gardening, home cooking, the holidays, baking pies, and cookies to share with her children and grandchildren. Anyone who ever paid a visit at Lala's house knew there was either a fresh batch of Grandma's cookies or even better, a fresh batch of tortillas. Friends and family can pay their respects at a visitation service on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. and a memorial service on Friday, October 26 at 10:00 a.m. at Primera de Garland, 1035 Dairy Rd., Garland, TX 75040.
