J.J. Hunt was born in Whitewright, Texas on January 21, 1931 to James and Zelma Hunt and passed away peacefully on October 22, 2018. J.J. is preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Hunt of 58 years and 12 of his siblings. J.J. was raised in Denison, Texas and enlisted in the Navy during the Korean War. After leaving the Navy J.J. moved to Dallas, Texas where he learned the trade of Carpentry and spent the next 50 years building beautiful custom cabinets and raising a family. J.J. is survived by his children Cindy Buckner (Chuck) of Rowlett, Texas, Kevin Hunt (Mary) of Mandeville, Louisiana and grandchildren Kelsey and Jake Buckner and Satchel and Henry Hunt.
