Leslie Keith Allen, born October 12, 1949 in Waxahachie, TX, passed from this life Tuesday, August 28, 2018 in Rockwall, TX. Keith was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. in June 1969. He retired from SBC July 30, 2004. He had a strong work ethic resulting in multiple promotions. Keith served in the US Army from March 1970 to Jan 1972. Keith was a faithful New Testament Christian following Christ in all areas of his life. He was a member of Saturn Road Church of Christ for over 40 years where he prepared communion for over 35 years. One of his biggest joys in life was studying the Bible. Keith married Betty Sigler on December 7, 1987. He enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren and in his last days he enjoyed watching the TX Rangers and old movies. Keith had a vivid imagination and unique sense of humor, he was a great storyteller. Often his stories began with a true event but after his bigger than life enhancements they were much funnier than the actual event. Keith was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Marietta Allen. He is survived by his wife Betty, his son Lance and his wife Debra and their children, Mikie, Bill, Bella and Mateo, all of Rockwall, his brother Kevin Allen of Wills Point, TX, as well as many other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held one hour before the service at Saturn Road Church of Christ Garland, Texas Friday August 31, 2018. Funeral Service for Mr. Allen will begin at 2:00 pm and a gathering for the interment at Resthaven Memorial Park will be following the service.
