Vernia Lee, 78, was born October 21, 1939 to Leomie and Tom Mills in Rusk County, Texas. She pursued he education in Troup and Barwell, Texas. Vernia Lee worked at Senior Care of Belt Line Nursing Facility until retirement. She was married to Sam McGencey (deceased). Vernia Lee was loving and caring and opened her home and her heart to anyone that needed it. Vernia Lee was beckoned by the Angels on July 21, 2018, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 siblings: Leotra Goree, Rayford Mills, Ralph Mills, and Clifford Mills. She is survived by Son, Robert Mills, Garland, Texas; A loving daughter-in-law Linda Willis, Gun Barrel, Texas; 3 grandsons, Joshua Willis, Jaime Willis (Jennifer), Dominic Mill (Kristen); 7 great-grandchildren, 4 sisters, Nevelean Jones, Fort Worth, Texas; Margie Benson, Vernon, Texas; Vera Ervin, Dallas, Texas; Lula B. Hughes, Rossie, Wichita Falls, Texas; 2 sister-in-laws, Billie Mills, Garland, Texas; Rev. Josephine Mills, Dallas, Texas; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
