Lucille (Cile) Mulinix Burgy, 98, passed from this life on December 21, 2017, in Mesquite, Texas. Born January 11, 1919, in Toledo, Ohio, she married Raymond A. Burgy on January 28, 1939, in Covington, Kentucky. Cile was a longtime Maumee, Ohio, resident in a home on Craig Road built by her husband in 1948. She moved in 2016 to Garland, Texas, to live with her daughter Tyra.

Cile attended Waite High School, later graduated from Scott High School, and also attended the University of Toledo. She was a member of the Toledo Gem and Rockhound Club, the League of Women Voters, and Maumee High School Band Parents.

Cile found her happiness in her family and in nature. She loved birds, gardening, and rocks. Cile also loved line dancing at the senior center and going places with her friends. She was loved and will be missed by many.

Cile was preceded in death by: her husband, Raymond A. Burgy; her parents, Bert and Alma (Davenport) Mulinix; her brother, Don Mulinix; and her sisters Dorothy Kiss-Gladieux, Alma White, Donna Barton, and Patricia Adams.

Cile is survived by: her daughter, Tyra Kirby; her sons Rick Burgy (Leigh), Tarry Burgy (Tess), Raymond C. Burgy (Judy), Kyle Burgy (M. J.), Kalden Burgy (Barbara), and Breck Burgy (Megan); and her sisters Alberta Johnson and Charlotte Hooks. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Eastgate Funeral Home in Garland, Texas, and the family plans a private celebration of Cile’s life on January 11, which would be her 99th birthday.Cile's family requests no flowers.
